We are
looking for volunteers to come down to the studio Sunday Afternoon for a Rock
Painting Extravaganza. On Oct. 28th
during Afton's Annual Trick or Treat Trail Afton's Art Studio will be hosting
once again a "We Rock In Afton Event". Hand painting rocks a strategically placed
up and down St. Croix Trail for children participating in the event to
find. Once the rock is found the rock
can be brought to a participating business to receive a prize. There will be over a 100 rocks hidden for
this event. We are providing all paint,
brushes and rocks for you. This is a
perfect way to enjoy our community and have fun creating.

Comcast Casting Call.......

Company Casting will be touring and visiting Afton's Old School Art Studio this
Sunday between 4 and 5 pm. They are
looking for 65 principal Roles and 300 extras.
The commercial is centered around our local cross country skier Olympian
Jessie Diggins The story line for the
commercial is the town of Afton sees Jessie off to the airport for the 2018
winter Olympics. I'm hoping the casting
company sees an opportunity at the school house for some video shoots of our
artists creating banners and other creative ways of support for Jessie.
If you are
interested in role for this commercial you might want to bring some candid
photos of yourself, a written statement telling a little something about
yourself such as your age, occupation and what your favorite Olympic Sport is.
Come and down and lets show them how our small
community supports one another
